CANBus turn signal LED bulbs
I online chatted with Superbright leds.com and here is what I got:
1. If a car has CANBus system, the LED bulb needs to be CANBut type;
2. with CANBus type turn signal LED bulb, I need to install it to find if the 6 Ohm resistor is still needed to stop rapid flashing.
My question is that my stock turn signal bulb is incandescent type that is not a CANBus bulb. Why can't I replace it with a non-CANBus LED with a 6 Ohm resistor?

Our 3457 super wedge LEDs for your signals are canbus with integrated flasher unit that will not trip error and sync flashing with your sidemirror signals. Simple plug and play with no need to splice in additional resistors.

I got time to try a non CANBus LED, 7440A bought for my other car on my 2011 C. Took the rear left stock bulb out and connected this LED bulb in with no added 6 ohm resistor. To my surprise, there is no error message, turn signal flashes at normal speed.
I was expecting to see rapid flashing...

7440 was bought for my 06 Honda Odyssey. I didn't get a chance to put it in with a 6 ohm resistor. Therefore, I tried it on 2011 C just to see what I could get. I used wires and clips to connect the LED to 7507 socket terminals.

I have a 2006 E-Class and tried 6 or 7 Canbus turn signal bulbs but none worked for me. I would not get a Canbus error, but the bulb does not light up (never blinks). It just sits there.
I first tried AZN optics but they are out of these. He was very helpful and would not hesitate to buy from him if he gets stock back in.
In the meantime, this worked for me (FINALLY). https://www.ebay.com/itm/1157-Error-...72.m2749.l2649
Not the cheapest, but it works and they are nice and bright. I have no connection to these guys. Just trying to help in case someone else is having a problem getting bulbs to work in the front turn signal.
