Vedoc coding for paddle shifter and "M"mode

Hi,
For 2008 c300 sport. I am going to add code 428 + 950 but local dealer said that I also need to have code 277 in order to have both paddle shifter and "M" mode working properly. Can anyone please tell me if I do need to add code 277 as well?
