ESP light on and injector drift warning
Hi guys,
My C220 CDI (W204-008) has the ESP light on and went into limp mode and the engine runs rough at idle. After diagnosis I get the following fault codes:
2071 injector drift cylinder 1 the lower limit value is reached
7201 One or more signals sent from control unit Engine Control module via the CAN bus is implausible
I can understand that in diesel cars, since the torque is controlled by the amount fuel injected, it sounds logical to get ESP fault because of a bad injector. Is this correct? Is the injector gone really bad or can I run an injector cleaner to see if it fixes the issue?
