2010 C300 No Start Problem
Greetings! I'm new here, and am hoping someone has experience with this problem.
My wife's 2010 C300 4Matic (approx 90k miles) would not start the other morning. It was cold outside (maybe 20 degrees). Car was in the garage.
I shot this video showing what was going on:
Had it towed in. Mechanic said it started right up. Had them keep it overnight. Next morning (also cold), it started right up again. Brought it home. This morning (not as cold), it also started right up.
Rather than wait for this to happen again at some inconvenient moment, I'd rather fix it now. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Bring it to someone that has a OBD II reader to see if theres something out of the norm. The most troubling thing to troubleshoot is things that happen once in a while. Mechanic will only look at it once and it don't seem to happen then its nothing wrong. GL on this, just hope this is the only time it will happen. If not it will only get worst and you'll know soon.

Sounded like it was turning over OK to me...re: the miles on her and a semi educated guess..I might look at a camshaft sensor that's failing. Get AutoZone or the like to see if you have any stored codes. Also a cam chain that is getting a bit out of spec from stretching (chain, old tensioner) will occasionally stop at a spot where the timing is enough out so the subsequent start is hard. A new camshaft sensor is a cheap DIY..Pelican has a tutorial I believe for the W204. Stretched timing chain is more problematic..if this is the case it will eventually worsen and throw CEL's.
