New suspension

So I have decided to renew my suspension as one of the shocks are shot. The car has more than 115k already so a piece by piece fix is not an option. What are my options? I do not want a adjustable suspension. The car is a 4matic sport. What have you guys done and what brands should I go for? I am planning of using this car until 1 of us dies so longetivity is a must then second is the looks. I dont mind the current stance of the car and anything lower will just be icing in the cake.

Why not just go with OEM? If you have 115,000 already, surely you're happy with the longevity of the OEM shocks then?

I just want some options. If there will be the same or better setup and cheaper than oem why not.

Risk vs reward. That's all. Seldom can you buy something that has the same quality but cheaper. I'd probably buy the shocks through www.exoparts.com. Genuine MB at about 25% off MSRP. You'll have to pay shipping if you're not local to Toronto.

Bilstein makes stuff for the 204 too, but all of them are reported to ride harder than OEM

I just called a local performance shop here in Vancouver and asked them to give me a quote of what they will recommend (lowered, not lowered, full OEM) and will see what they will give me. I also called the dealer and asked how much it would cost to do a full suspension rework and my service advisor told me to be prepared for the cost LOL!

I know our cars has this agility thingamajig (not the dynamic type that you get as an option) would a aftermarket shocks have the same thing?

If I go with the Bilstein route which should I pick if:

1. OEM sport height
2. 1/2" drop - I have a 8.5" wide front wheel with 45 offset on 235/40r18 would I rub? right now with the OEM sport suspension I do not rub except if I am on a very steep hill and do a full-on turn I rub very little and aggressively apply throttle.

I also see H&R sports being mentioned here on some threads....which is better? Blistein or H&R? I do not want coils. I also see combination of B4 with Eibach sport kit, B6 with Eibach sport kit. I do not mind having a firmer ride but not to the point I will swear every time I hit a small bump. Also if I am changing struts would it be logical to change or upgrade some of the suspension components as well to save labour cost as they will be removing the parts anyway?

Not thinking of getting a new set of wheels right now as my tires are still good. I think this suspension thing will make me break my piggy bank.....I do not want to look at the threads where you see dropped W204 or I will be tempted so spend more money LOL!
