Navigation map upgrade worth it?

Navigation map upgrade worth it?
I just received an email from Mercedes Benz aboot an available map upgrade for my 2014 C250..... all for the low price of $99, on sale from $250. My wife is the primary driver, I only drive when we go grocery shopping or on trips, and I believe navigation has been used once or twice since we've owned this Mercedes. Is this upgrade worth the price for something rarely used? Or should I say is the price worth it to keep the Mercedes navigation updated even though I don't use it? It's not a money issue cause I'll waste $99 on starbucks and lotto scratchers this weekend without blinking an eye.

To me, it is not worth. I only use it on long trips a few times. When my daughter drives, she always uses iPhone, never MB Nav. Maybe it's worth to some people who feel better/comfortable with the most updated map even if they don't drive to the area updated on the Nav map.

I updated once to 2016-17, free disks from a local dealer after they screwed up my brake service. They corrected it and provided me with the free map update that I requested, $249 MSRP.

If the $99 is no big deal, why not update it? You just never know when you'll need it. It is a good deal money wise.

that's sort of my thinking...to me its not worth $250 for something I almost never use, but at $99 it potentially is worth it for something I seldom might use.

You still have to go to the dealer for the actual update. The map update can only be used against one vehicle. Dealer has to update using the nav usb stick and their computer

I bough that set a year ago and installed it myself. It took overnight to finish. I had battery on a trickle charger. There was no hiccup except changing disk 1 to 2.
