Coding Shift Paddles

So I've had my flat bottom steering wheel with paddles for the longest time and I'm tired of just looking at my shift paddles instead of using them.

When I first installed it about 2 years ago, I tried every local dealer and none were able to code them, even though I had all the instruction at hand (add 428 code to VeDoc ). But none of them we're able to complete it, telling me the data base was preventing them from SCN coding my car, they told me I needed a hacker..

Tried a few indy shops with no luck and gave up because I wasted enough time.

I was wondering if there was anyone local from Quebec/Canada or Ontario does such coding ?

Very strange indeed, the one thing you never mentioned is why the dealers were not able to accomplish the job.

They said they weren't able to code the transmission. The car detected the paddles but weren't able to add the codes to the transmission files apparently. That was the dealer that tried the hardest, others just said we don't add options or SCN cars..

Apparently, many dealerships don’t give access to add codes into the VEDOC. When retrofitting options into my car, I had some help from European mercedes mechanics who had the necessary access. Once the code is in the VEDOC, any dealership can SCN code the items into the car. It’s very frustrating but can be done

I have all required codes added into VEDOC for more than 3 month , still none of Alberta local dealerships are able to SCN codes into transmission module. They keep saying the transmission is not responding.

Welcome to the club... To be fair, I'm sure the reason my transmission still shifts like new at 270k is that I don't have paddles..

Add codes 428 and 950 to Vedoc , then go to MB dealer to SCN online to ECU and TCM.
If your car already has code 952. You may either go with (952 + 428) or delete 952 and add 950 to go with (950+428)
If you need help to add codes to Vedoc. PM me

VDOK and SCN are different things
VDOK is the datacard on MB servers
in order to online SCN code you must have your VDOK set to the retrofit first
then get a online coding

Hello everybody, I’m Tommi from Taiwan and live in California, US. Can somebody please teach me how to add 428 and 950 (including delete 952) to VeDoc? Very appreciate in advance! Recently, I’d like to retrofit my 08’ E350 with a paddle shifters steering wheel. The wheel is on already, but with paddles not working. I think VeDoc is the first step I have to do.

Best Regards

Tommi
