w204 suspension

i have a 2013 w204 c class blue efficiency executive 2.2 diesel with 80,000 miles on the clock. I find the ride to be very soft and bouncy and harsh over broken road surfaces. Do i ned to replace my shocks and springs? I tried the bounce test and there is no excessive bounce. Are the shocks and spring really soft on this model? It has original oem sachs shocks and springs all round.

I have the US model W204, same year. Mine is a sport and with slightly less miles but probably the same age, my ride is still relatively firm. I'm guessing you have the luxury (not sport), which means it's not as firm.

I've always thought that replacing springs is a bit excessive for a used car, unless you're going all out performance. I'd find the stiffest shocks on the market and try those.

Considering that for our year, our cars were much more firm than the BMW 3 series, I would be confident that if you have experience driving several types and models of cars, and you're saying this, you probably need shocks.
