I believe I've seen a thread or two overtime where people mention loaning others tools for jobs. I have a 2012 C250 with the 1.8l 4 cylinder. I have the cam adjuster issue (made it 100k miles) and need to replace the adjusters. Figure at this mileage a chain replacement isn't a bad idea either. Would prefer not paying the $200 for a tool I'll use one time.

Is there an official channel for the tool loaning? I didn't see one.

Curious best approach. I did find that appears to fit the bill for $90. Curious though first how the loan stuff works (assuming I'm not making all this up).
