No sound
Hey guys turned on my car today and radion turned on but no matter the source i had no sound coming from any of the speakers. I turned car off and on and couple of times to see if it resets but still no sound. Then was driving for about 10 minutes and sound came on. Could the amplifier be going? has anybody had this problem? If it is the amplifier anybody know the part number and location of it? I have a 2014 c300 sport 4matic sedan and the audio 20 hardon karmon system.
Thanks in advance.

Is there any way you might have just hit the mute button and then later on hit it again? If you do that the sound stays muted even after you shut the car off and restart it.

2015 C300 4MATIC No Sound
Has anyone figured out the cause and solution ?
Radio is not on mute. I can connect Bluetooth but no sound.
Radio shows the name of the airing track but no sound.

First, reset the audio by pressing the CD eject button for 10+ second. You will see the audio system recycling.
Second, go back to the trunk and reach the Audio module. There unplug the fiber connection. You will see a red laser like light after removing the black clip. It has 2 orange thick wires and couple of other wires.
Reconnect. That's it.
Sound started again like a charm.

So I fixed it by trial and error.

I chatted with Sirius through their online customer care. The rep was very helpful and sent a refresh to my radio based on my radio id as I do not have service.
30 minutes later and after 2 attempts at disconnecting the fiber optic connection to Sirius module the sound was back on.
It also tested fine after restarts.
But today morning it is dead again.
I have ordered a fiber loop so that I can bypass the Sirius module.
Anyone has any other ideas?

My fix did not last. It was back to no sound on restart a few hours later. I pulled out the module in the trunk next to the fuse box. I stand corrected, it was a Sirius module.

Pretty sure it wasn’t raining and no didn’t wash it... had been couple days... but been told the amp is in the trunk... of that is the case... dry as dry can be... but then heard it is iunder my middle console... and can’t get to that myself... it did come back on for a short... very short period but snapped, crackled and popped the entire time...🙄

all u need to do is open your trunk.
remove two carpet trim clips, they are on up towards trunk lid very close to the trunk lid spring.
once u pop them out u can see a purple connector connecting to your amp.
this will be a quick check to confirm it’s location.
then go ahead order a new one.
i got mine from Chicago Mercedes for $660.

pull them out and u will see a module installed horizontally.
now u will need a fiber loop to test it.
if u can see Sirius preview on your command display then sirius is not your problem.
