Keyless Go not activated?
Recently purchased a 2013 C250. I have checked the VIN and confirmed that 889 Keyless - Go is included. The door handles have the tell-tale indent, but I can’t seem to get keyless entry to work. Does it somehow need to be activated? I’ve changed key fob battery, checked for infrared signal, and whatever else Inhave seen here it elsewhere. I’m out of ideas on troubleshooting. Anyone know how to get this working?

You also need to have the keyless go start/stop button in the ignition where the key would go

unfortunately I tried that just now and not only does it not work for keyless entry, the keyless start doesn’t work either. I’m completely flummoxed. Is there some sort of programming or other change that needs to happen?

New wrinkle
I finally had the second key sent to me and Keyless Go works perfectly with that key. So now I have one key that both Keyless Go and Keyless Entry work fine and one key with no functionality at all.

Is it possible the no-functionality key is wrong one for the vehicle? Did it ever work in the past?
In my case, I changed both key batteries ... one works perfectly now, but the other does not unlock by touching the door handle. It does lock and unlock the doors by clicking the buttons. So who knows, maybe I should try another battery in that one .... or just leave it as my backup key and use the buttons. Seems a little finnicky.
BTW, I do not have the start/stop button in my ignition and its absence doesn't seem to affect any of the keyless-go functions.

The keyless go button would only affect starting or stopping the car...the entry lock unlock function should still work without the button installed, as long as you have your key in your pocket or on your person
