possible oil filter housing leak
This morning I topped-up my windshield washer fluid and noticed a black dirt on the engine so I grabbed my flashlight to take a closer look. I noticed oil around the oil filter housing and all the way to the bottom. Curses ensue afterwards. I think my oil filter housing is leaking oil. I am just curious if that is the only culprit for the leak in that area or maybe another possible part. Any thoughts?
If indeed the gasket has failed what other parts should I need to replace since a few things needs to be taken out just to remove the housing. I am keeping the car forever so I don't mind doing preventive work on it.

I would ensure the oil filter housing is torqued to the right spec (20NM or whatever - it's on the housing itself), and I'd replace the gaskets that are provided on a new oil filter.
Probably nothing more than that.
