long time lurker, and first time thread starter.
So, about 2 years ago i had the famous ESL issue and i took my car to an independent shop "to get fixed."when i picked up the car the esp and several other security systems stopped working. i parked the car for a year and a half because i needed a break from constantly fixing things that should not break in the first place like the alternator going out year 4 (after warranty), having 3 defective tail light housings (one of which really caught fire), and a mysterious engine issue which caused the car go into limp mode but i am assuming that was fixed with the camshaft recall because i wasn't charged (but my car would randomly go into limp mode and i'd feel the engine pulling/ breaking). that is neither here nor there, does anyone know where i can fix this fault/error besides the dealer in the tri-state area(NY, NJ, CT)? not recognizing the parts put in with esl
