AC Line
Hi! I need some insight, My 2010 C 300 LUX was running ruff and had lost it's performance, I took it to the dealer and they said it was he motor mounts(1300.00) repair and while they were in there they were going to do the recall on both air bags. I picked the Ghost up and she drove like new. The next day it was warm I turned the AC on and it blew hot air! I took it back cause that AC was working fine before. The dealer said my line had a leak and nothing they did in the repairs could have cause the problem so the AC line needs to be replaced (1100.00). 1. Could they have caused this leak. 2. Is there any bulletin about being careful doing these types of repairs so this might happen. 3 Anyone else have or had this problem? 4. Or did that tech do it and is just trying to pad the ticket? $2400.00 in repairs the car is only worth $6000.00 (But priceless to me)! Any insight will be greatly appreciated!

It depends on where the leak occurred.. To do a motor mount, they must lift the engine a bit and support it.. If the break is in the flexible part of the line between the engine and radiator, then I would say yes it is possible. If the leak is somewhere on a fixed part of the engine or radiator area, then I would say possibly no.
This is of course considering they didn't have an oops and hit it with a tool or something..
