2008 C300: Changing the Engine Air Filter
Hi All,
I've been meaning to change the engine air filter in my car for quite some time. I finally got around to it (after picking up the Mann filters a couple of years ago), but the installation isn't as straight-forward as the videos make it look. Apparently the cover that's supposed to come off from the back on my 2008 C300 has a lever that you push down deep in the back of the engine (not the large metal clamp you see in most of the videos that claim they are for 2008s), and it just doesn't seem to budge for me. Does anyone have any videos or advice for me as I have difficulty prying this off?

I figured it out. Once you detach the hoses, you lift from the front since there is no lever in the back, and it pops right off. Pretty sure this was OEM, as it was absolutely filthy. Feels great to finally have it clean and replaced.
