2011 C300/W204 - Clicking/Ticking noise drivers side in dash near window.
2011 C300/W204. I have been hunting this noise for some time and cannot find it. I am getting a clicking or a ticking noise going over bumps on the road, the noise is appears to be coming from dashboard area near the window on the drivers side. This noise is only present on warmer days or if I have driven the car for an extended period of time on a cold day. I can not find anything from under the dash (looking/feeling up). Could this be suspension noise radiating into the cab or something loose behind the instrument cluster? Again, it happens going over bumps when the car or the ambient temperature is warm. The sound can best be described if you hit two pencils together.

Solved
So I did some more troubleshooting and found the problem making the noise. The clicking / ticking was coming from the Strut Mount plastic cap on the left Strut. I couldn't believe it but after shimming some rubber between the cap and the car body the noise was gone. I hope this helps anyone else suffering the same issue. This one took me a year to find.
