How to reset SRS code?

So, my 2008 C300 Sport had a seam split in the drivers seat. So I took it to an auto interior repair shop and then pulled the seat and fixed that problem. But since they disconnected (and reconnected) the wiring harness for the seat SRS, it now throws an SRS malfunction code and warning light. Do I seriously have to take my car to a dealer to get this cleared out? Note that it is the driver seat and not the passenger seat with the weight sensor in it.

TIA,

chad

Dealer or buy an iCarsoft scanner for about the same price and clear it yourself, and have it for any future needs.

Battery is supposed to be unplugged when working with airbags.

The airbags were not worked with. The wiring harness UNDER the seat had to be unplugged to remove seat for repairs to commerce.

So is the only way to fix is to buy the damn reader or bend over at dealership?

Maybe it's finally time to start looking for that '69 Camaro....

Option 1 - Buy a scanner for $100 or less. (You can also read the engine/trans codes that may pop up in the future.)

Option 2 - Pay a local garage $60 to reset the computer.

The seat has weight sensors and whatnot that are safety related to the activation of airbags

I also went thru this exact same scenario, and its annoying haha. I took my car into the dealer for the airbag recall very recently (After getting the leather on the cushion repaired, and was hoping they'd clear the code while performing the recall, but no luck) and they told me it threw 3 codes, which for the life of me cant figure out what they mean, so any help would be appreciated. Codes read as follows: b275013, b27e13, b009112 (also had my window regulator replaced on the driver door). So now I'm worried if theres anything wrong and the airbags wont deploy when needed?
