Worn tread, alignment question
See attached pic of left rear tire. This is my parent's '10 C300 Sport with only about 25k miles. They don't drive it often and these rear Continentals are original so they're almost 10 years old. I don't know how they got this worn (and now a hole) without anyone telling them (annual inspection), but it's obvious the inner edge is more worn than the middle or outer. My BMW has a stock negative camber - I was wondering if the C300 does also. And could it have contributed to this uneven wear?
They now have 2 new Conti DWS06 on the rears and I was wondering if it's an absolute must to do a $100 alignment after spending almost $400 (1 TPMS also) on their fixed income for a vehicle they hardly drive. Is this a clear sign of misalignment or is it normal to wear only on the inside like this on a C300 if given enough time? I never saw the right rear before it was tossed. The front 2 were replaced a couple years ago after 1 developed a bulge on the sidewall. Thx.

Best to do the alignment, it shouldn’t be wearing like that.
It’s either pay $100 now or pay $500 in a few months for new rear tires and an alignment.
