C204 Rear Seat Back Wires
Hi,
I’m currently replacing the rear seats in my C204, 2013, but can anyone confirm what the wires are which are attached to the rear seat back mounting bracket? There seems be be an electrical connection on the bracket, in-between the seat and bracket itself.
I assume they are to check the rear seat backs are latched into position, but wasn’t sure if they’re connected to the SRS system. I need to disconnect these wires to replace the seat backs on both sides, but didn’t want to do it myself if it will give me an SRS error.
Can anybody confirm?

I removed my steering wheel and airbag with the battery disconnected and didn't get any errors afterwards, so I doubt you'd get any warning lights if took these wires loose as long as the battery's disconnected.
On my car, there is a warning if the rear seats backs are up but not fully latched so very likely that is the function of the wires you're looking at. Hard to think what else they'd be there for.
