"Auto Lamp Function Inoperative" after changing rain/light sensor

Hello All,
I need your help on my 2009 C300 W204.
As my car had problem on auto function of windshield wiper (irregular move while raining), I replaced rain and light sensor attached behind rear view mirror by myself.
It successfully solved the problem.
After a month or so, my car now shows “Auto Lamp Function Inoperative” error message on dashboard.
Can someone help me how to fix the problem?
I have not done any calibration type of work after after replacing the sensor as there were no instruction to do so on instruction I found on the internet.

Thank you for your help.
Sam

I have the light sensor problem after replacing the sensor. Did you solve the issue. Was a calibration procedure required?

Thanks for your response, antiguangenius. I assume the procedure requires a Mercedes star diagnostic tool, so l’ll look for a shop.

Inoperative Lamp Message

Hi Guys, I also replaced the sensor that caused the inoperative lamp on dash. I replaced the sensor and the dash light didn't clear. It still reads Inoperative lamp message. Any ideas on how to get this reset cause its annoying to have this message on my dash. I have an iCarsoft MB2 professional scanner but it don't seem to have that option to have the Inoperative lamp message reset. I have a 2008 C300 Sport model
