Rust forming near rear wheel arch
I noticed a section of bubbling paint at the base of the rear tire arch. I live in New England and suspect mud or snow with salt got caked in and started the corrosion. The rust has not come through yet but I suspect it is a matter of time.
The car is a 2008 C300 with 112k miles. My daughter is driving it now and I would like to get a few more years out of it before having to replace it. Can anything be done to prevent it from getting worse or repair at a reasonable cost?
