Quick question about wheels

Hey guys on my wife's '12 C300 i have 17's but the tires are due to be changed so i wanted to upgrade to 18's i found a nice set of wheels with tires but just had a quick question about fitment, The car is 12 C300 4-Matic and the wheels are 18x8.5" all around ET38 with a 235/40 tire size, i know the rear should be good just wondering if the fitment will be flush in front or will it poke a bit

Thanks
Andre

Check the diameter of your present front tires and compare to the ones you want to fit. There's only about 5 mm clearance beneath the spring perch to the tire tread (stick your finger in there and you'll see), so that's your critical dimension.

Poking out is not your main concern with these setup but rubbing is. It will rub on front with compressed springs and also it will poke out slightly.

I had 235/35/19 with 8,0 - et45 on front and rubbed slightly on hard turns and with springs fully compressed with wheels turned. Compared to mine , your front wheels will poke out 0,5 inch more and your tyre diameter is 0,2 inch bigger.

With 4 people in the car it will slightly rub on dips, so im raising the rear this weekend a bit i think it should do the trick
