Check engine light can on. Was told me fuel pump plate had a hairline crack in it. Two of the studs that pertrude from the top of the gas tank broke off. Now I have to replace the whole tank. Dealership wouldn't give me the specific part numbers for my tank. Tracked down a parts finder who told me that used tanks can't be shipped but there are some in my area. Are tanks with the studs that come out of the top of the tank (fuel pump attached to them) metal or plastic? Part number is 2044706902 (2010 Mercedes C300 sport) from what I've been told. Can anyone help me find a used one to save me a thousand bucks?
