Squeaking after disengaging parking brake
Hi,
I don't use my parking brake almost ever, but 2 days ago I parked on a hill and pressed it in all the way. Yesterday I got in my car and disengaged, and while I was getting out of that parking space, I heard loud squeaking (kind of like when your brakes are going bad)... After about 5-10 seconds of the car moving i.e. once I got out of the space, it went away and hasn't happened since.
My 2014 C300 does have 120k miles so I'm sure things are pretty used up, but is this normal? Is it because the last time I used my parking brake was like 6 months ago?
The only other squeaking I can think of is when I first drive the car in the morning after a night of rain...sometimes I hear a mild squeak the first couple of seconds of driving - perhaps just rust on the rotors?
