W204 Headlight Replacement HID
Hi there, I’m new to the forum but have been searching to see if there was a remedy for the burnt parking light socket. I found a thread searching here of the socket replacement for the parking light. However, the severity of my burnt socket parking light took a minor chunk of the actual headlight. So, I’m tasked with looking for a replacement headlight. I’m okay with an aftermarket replacement option since this seems like a common problem with the oem headlight setup. The problem I’ve been running into is the options available are all for halogen headlights versus my car which is equipped with bi-xenon. For reference, my car is a 2011 c63. If it's only a single side, check ebay for an OEM replacement. Many are from junk yard salvages that are perfectly fine.

You can also check your local junk yard and go picking yourself. But yeah, ebay will be hit or miss, have to just keep checking. I'd also hit up the classified section on this forum. Might have someone who went aftermarket and have a spare oem set they'd be willing to part with. You're right that you won't be able to find aftermarket as there's no business to be found in customers looking to replace OEM xenon housing. End of the day, you might just have to keep rolling dirty with a damaged headlamp (at least the low beams still work right?) till a used part pops up, or eat the cost and buy an new OEM replacement. Hit up Pelican Parts, another vendor here on MBWorld as they can typically get you better pricing than dealer.
