2021 E450 Coupe
Looking at a 2013 C250 with 60k miles. things to know?

Never owned a mercedes but I think this is exactly the car I'm looking for. Coupe, 60k miles, dealership has it for ~13,500, seems like it's in great condition.

Is there anything I should know about these cars? Anything in particular that commonly fails or something like that? I couldn't find any general thread that could answer that question.

Edit: Secondary question, I've noticed some C250's have projector headlights and others don't. Is this something I can upgrade to without much trouble?

Edit edit: Sorry, just realized I put this in the Sedans section. Dont see a way to delete my own thread though...

2012 C300 4MATIC Sport
I stayed away from anything "250" in the US because of the troubles associated with the M271 engine such as high-pressure fuel pump failure, timing chain stretching and failure, and turbo problems. These are quite documented here on this forum. I the 300/350 models of 2013-2012 have the M276 engine which also suffers from the high-pressure fuel pump failure and requires checks valves installed to eliminate engine rattle in the morning on cold starts.

Because of all the above, I got a 2012 C300 4MATIC Sport Sedan which has the reliable-by-then M272 engine.

Yea generally most people don't have many issues but you're much better off with a 300 (or a 350 if you want a coupe)
