ESP abs issue
Hi
Im currently sitting with an issue with my 2008 c220cdi where the esp warning is on and the car is in limp mode , I’ve had it on several scanners and all show no codes , two mechanics have told me it’s a wiring issues with the abs ( abs itself has no issues ) somewhere and will take stripping the car to find the cause , obviously this will take them time and cost for there time fairly so , I’m not new to mechanics but new to Mercedes a specially the esp systems so I’m basically trying to find anyone with a similar issue or a point in the right direction to try solve this myself
So far I’ve inspected most the connections for damage both at the abs and Ecu
There are no faults in sensors
And no codes that I’m told by mechanics
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you for reading

If the warning light is on and it is in limp mode it IS throwing a code. I would have to guess whoever "scanned" the car used a reader that cannot read Mercedes C codes (Chassis). Find someone that can read Mercedes codes. A bad wheel speed sensor is probably the most common place to start looking. But could be a number of things. Getting the code(s) it is throwing will point you in teh right direction,

That’s what’s bothering me about this , it’s been to a recommendation merc specialist and he told me no codes and so on and that I need send the car to an auto election so that’s a total of three workshops that say there are no codes

I am certainly not a mechanic of any kind, but with all the things that can be monitored on cars today I find it astonishing that if you get any kind of light on the dash it would mean something is out of tolerance and out enough to store some kind of code. if so, i learned something today.

I had this problem before i had recently replace my ESL & ignition done by a 3rd rate mechanic & after done my ESC light was on my cruise control was not operational i ended up taking it to my friend who is Mercedes certified & it turns out that when installing the ESL p[art you have to use the scanner & install the Vin # of car to part & once doing it everything worked like a charm. I dont know if you have this problem but like other memebers here say you need to take it to a certified Mech. with proper experience. Good Luck...
