Pre-facelift Bi Xenon retrofit to Facelift Headlight Housing
Been awhile. Either my search skills have declined both here and on google or I'm just not using the correct words. Skip to the bottom for the ask:
Background:
My 2008 w204 has undergone a few transformations the past year. It's been through a year of construction abuse (countless sheets of drywall, 2 bye, 10ft of quartz countertop on the OEM roof rack to name a few).
In either case parts were dented dinged and scratched. rather then paint I wrapped the car. Was able to get a 2012 c63 carbon fiber hood for $100 - modified and fabricated mounts.hinges and took the opportunity to do the facelift conversion. I figured it needed new suspension (for safety) of course. I finally was able to score a pair of facelift headlights for <$200 (been keeping an eye out for 8 months or so).
Has anyone retrofitted the internals / projectors from the pre-facelift headlights into the facelift housing? Pros/Cons/Feasibility?
I recently completed 100% custom headlights for another vehicle, so I'm comfortable with all the electronics, I'd PREFER to retain the projectors and also not need to repin anything, if possible - keeping all the modifications contained in the custom headlights. If you guys could let me know your thoughts, experiences or a link - much appreciated.
Thanks
