MB X204 Circuit 50: no crank. Can I replace the 5 legs starting relay by 4 legs one
Hello there,
I have an X204 that have all the signals (except 31 circuit that I do not master) ready to crank on the 5 legs starting relay, but it does not.
It seems like if I replace the 5 legs starting relay by 4 legs relay (see the attached pictures) it may work.
This adaptation suppress the 31 circuit on the starter wiring through the diode inside the 5 legs relay.
Please can someone tell me:
1- what is the diode inside the 5 legs relay (A0025427619) for?
2- Am I right if I guess it is a 12V Zener diode dedicatedto stabilize the tension on the starter solenoid?
3- Is there any danger to suppress the 31 circuit on the starter wiring?
Best regards
