Transmission fluid top up

Hi, how do you check & top up the transmission fluid on a 2008 C320 cdi?

I don't think you can. If it is not leaking then I should not worry.

Thanks for the reply. Its not leaking oil but has gone into limp mode & engine management light is on so I'm trying to figure out why.

Your guessing...that costs money !
Get a code reader like an icarsoft MB2.0 and find out what is wrong.
Or take it to an indy garage.

I got my diagnostic tool. It shows 2 error codes. P0101 (mass or volume air flow A circuit range /performance.
P0473 (exhaust pressure sensor A circuit high.
I cleared them and its no longer in limp mode but it is revving up & down when at a constant throttle ...Only at fairly high rpm but not when driven gently. Any ideas.

I think you have a induction leak somewhere.
Check the large hoses to and from the intercooler,
Can you read the actual values from the exhaust pressure sensor ?

I eventually took the car to Mercedes-Benz. They quoted me R19000, saying I needed to replace a turbo seal, EGR valve & exhaust pressure sensor. I ended up replacing the exhaust seal & cleaned the EGR valve but that made no difference so I replaced the exhaust pressure sensor & that solved the problem. It cost me 10 x less than Merc quoted ie R1900.
