2013 C250 Base 2 door coupe
Help identifying part
2013 Mercedes-Benz C250 Coupe - Gas engine - Automatic Transmission - United States

I noticed a part silver in color with a hole in the top near the oil filter housing that looks as if it should have a vacuum or other hose attached.

I've looked at part diagrams online but am unable to identify it or determine if it is supposed to look like this or if something is missing or broken off.

The car is running fine and has no check engine light or codes.

Thanks for any help you can provide! Pic below.

Part identification, silver in color with a hole in the top. Back of the engine nearest Oil Filter housing.
