Are all of the stick w204’s v6’s?
Hey guys, I’m looking to upgrade from my 03 kompressor to a w204 soon and all the ones I’ve found with a standard transmission have a v6. Can anyone confirm that all the stick w204s come with a v6?

the v6 is better in every way, except mpg
and manual only came in the V6's in the US market, EU/other exception

I want the 4 cylinder because from what I’ve read on the forum, its easier and way cheaper to upgrade than the v6. Upgrading the turbo on the 4 cylinder would be a couple grand where as turboing the v6 would be 10k. That and I’d miss the supercharger sound of my kompressor..having a turbo on the new car would be a good substitute.
I know very little about car engines so this may be a terrible idea or not even possible because they’re different engines, but I was thinking a cheaper option could be to take the turbo and necessary parts off of a 4 cylinder w204 in a scrap yard somewhere and getting them installed onto a c300 if I were to get one.

Not sure what you have been reading exactly, but you might want to consider reading a lot more about it. What you are thinking of doing isn't cheap or simple (or practical, at least in my opinion). If you are thinking you just bolting on a plug and play turbo and away you go with another 50-100 horspower you are sadly mistaken. You would be better off buying a used C63.

Fair enough, I’ll have to do more research. So you’re saying you potentially could add the same amount hp to both engines for the same cost? I don’t plan to do anything to the car right away, I just want to know before I purchase the carb if I wanted to do any upgrades to the engine in the future. If the C63 were in my budget or came in stick I’d consider getting one.

Swapping in a new turbo is a waste of time. No one has done it, one YouTuber "plans" on trying it .. still waiting.
If you're comparing a 2013+ c300, with a tune, the c250 still won't come close

Oooh I can actually contribute here. I owned a 2009 C300 w/ a 6spd manual. Still the most engaging car I've owned. The V6 in that platform is plenty of power coupled with that transmission. I think you'll be spending more money and headaches trying to get the performance from a 4 cylinder than if you just got the V6.
OETuning tuned my car and while it didn't make it night and day different (Still naturally aspirated) it definitely felt more engaging. If you are truly looking for performance in a C class just get a C63. There's a reason why you don't see a lot of heavily modified C250s or C300s.

This post is a little old but I just wanted to thank everyone for their input. Ended up going with a 2011 c300. Just swapped out the grill n blacked out the side marker lights!
