Rough suspension in cold weather
Since I have own my facelift W204, I have noticed that the suspension and ride gets rough in the winter, especially below 20 degrees. You can hear some knocking if you drive on rough roads as the suspension goes up and down quickly.
When it warms up, don’t have that issue. Is this typical? Mercedes says my shocks aren’t leaking and seemed ok when they test drove.

Had this issue, i would hear a slight click when going over potholes or speed bumps in -20 degree weather (Celsius). Dealer told me it's normal because there's gas in the suspension.

If you hear creaks during winter when going over speed bumps at lower speeds, it's the sway bar bushings. Replace them and/or the sway bar and the sounds will disappear.

Is it true that the bushings are not replaceable and that you need to replace the whole sway bar?! Never heard of this on a car until now
