Creaking driver seat explained!
For the last several months I have had a creaking noise in my driver seat that seemed to originate from under my right leg, towards the rear of the seat. It creaks when you accelerate, brake or turn. After sending it into specialists and reading numerous online posts that were all unsuccessful I fixed the problem.
You have to remove the actual seat cushion itself 1st, its just two torx screws under the front of the seat cushion. Once removed you will notice that the plastic trim on the right hand side near the door under the cushion has a clip where it attaches to the seat frame. This clip rubs against the frame and causes this loud clicking, creaking sound. Some felt tape between the two and you're good.
