Hi everybody. I'm Denis from Germany. I buyed a Mercedes w204 cdi limousine 2007 for 1 month. I wanted to change also my steering wheel,to see more beautiful. I have buyed this model A 172 460 1803 9E3. I have try to install but all buttons and functions are not working as well with my old steering column.if anyone helping can to find the right steering column,that was very nice. I did this modification but changed to the W205 steering wheel. You will need a 'face-lift' combination switch. Part is A21290089199051. It is for the W212 but is also compatible with the W204. I have had it on my car for more than 6 months. I sourced it from Cars245.com.

Mine was new. For everything to work correctly you will need a combination switch that is from a 2012 to 2014 year model. If buying a used one be careful to make sure that it is compatible to your model. It tried sourcing a used one and found it difficult to find one with all the necessary adjustments , eg. tilt/reach for steering wheel, speed limiter for cruise control.
