Hi all. I need some help/opinions. I have noticed harsh downshifting since I bought the car in March 2018 appx. 47k miles. Now the car has appx. 67k miles. Usually, I just do the computer reset (gas pedal down, car off, w/ignition on; wait 4 minutes, etc.). This solves the problem. Now, check engine light is on and it's shifting incredibly hard up and down. Is this a solenoid issue? Camshaft? Or am I looking at a full replacement? I know you can't physically diagnose my care (obviously), but I'm curious about what is the most likely scenario. Also, if you have an idea of the costs associated with likely repairs from a local german car mechanic.
