C200 Kompressor MAP sensor location
So I found that I have a faulty map sensor, but the problem with my specific vehicle is that I can't find the exact location of the sensor so I can check it and eventually replace it.
The vehicle is a w204 from 2008 pre-facelift model with a m271 engine C200 Kompressor, gasoline.
As I searched from the web, I can see that this sensor is located on the side of the air intake box
(example picture)
The problem is that I have nothing there, no sensor, no wires, nothing.
I can see the 2 bolts socket there, where the MAP is located on this picture, but nothing is there, I guess that's just the design of the air box which is used on various different 4 cylinder engine models ranging all the way from early 2000ths all the way to 2007-8.
Am I looking at the wrong thing, or there should be another place I need to check?
I also found that this sensor might be located after the throttle body all the way behind and under the air box assembly, but the problem there is that I can't see anything down there without removing the box, and removing it is a whole new adventure by itself.
Any hints on removing the airbox housing? I'm having a fk ton of issues removing this one clamp that holds the intake to the throttle body, I can't remove it if my life depends on it, lol
