Mixing 236.14 and 236.15 transmission fluid
I'm just wondering what will happen if you mix in a couple of liters of 236.15 on a transmission that already have been filled with 236.14.
My transmission should use 236.14 but the dealer seems to have topped it up with a couple of liters with 236.15.
With that being said, if that were to happen to my car, I would force the dealer to drain the transmission and torque converter and refill the car properly with 236.15 AT THEIR OWN COST.
The .15 is not made for the 7G plain and simple.
What year is your W204?

Transmission is of type 722.962 and the car itself is a 2008 model.
The dealer are willing to change the fluid in the transmission. Just hoping there will be no late effects of running with the mix of the two oils.
My car is a 2008 model with a 722.962 transmission.

Please see post#6 TRANSMISSION and check the “Guide to 722.9 & 722.9+ Transmissions”. On page 52, it says:
“If the transmission has been inadvertently filled with the wrong fluid, it is permissible to drain out the fluid and refill the transmission with the correct fluid up to the distance of 10km. Transmission replacement is not necessary is this case.”

How far have you driven so far with the wrong fluid? The 722.9 can take up to 10 litres of fluid, how was yours a couple litres low?
I would be worried if you’ve put a bunch of mileage on with more than just a “top up” as that different viscosity can really gets thing slipping.
If you have driven it a lot, I would have them write this down and documented in your personal files as well in case you run into issues down the road.

After that I went to the dealer to have them top it up. A coulpe of liters were just a reference. The exact ammount of oil that were put in were 1 liter, and then about 500ml were draied out again (as this is the filling procedure on 722.9 trans).
I've driven more than 10km since the top up. The transmission has been acting up now and then since the top up and I couldn't understand why. When they said they have probably topped up with the wrong fluid it kinda makes sence.
