Okay guys so my ESL went out in locked position. I had to take whole column out well I forgot to retract steering wheel on adjuster to shortest column possible now I can't get it out. I tried to plug everything back up and it still won't budge... Dash lights work and interior lights work. I have two wires that are left and can't remember where they came from one is long one is short. See pics can anyone steer me in the right direction. I can't take column out not enough room because it's not retracted enough. Can anyone help to say what these two plug ins go to they were with the plug you put in behind head for steering wheel yellow plug these are two greys?

Hi, theres a chinese guy-(MIKEYZ VLOGZ)- on youtube taking his W204 apart and describe the processes, I know he went to the steering as well, search and maby he can assist you.

 

I swapped my ESL motor yesterday on my C250 and do not recall seeing these. Could one of those be your footwell light?
