You have Xentry?? Have you processed codes with Xentry??? If you have a range sensor problem it will make the transmission go into safe mode.

Yes, So ordered a new Selection range sesnor Y3/8S1 and soldered onto the TCM inside gearbox, this did not fix the fault so it seems it was some sort of solder or wiring inside TCM, TCM was also cleaned with electrical cleaner and this did not fix. The fix was a new TCM from the Mercedes dealership, you need to have the coding from your old TCM transferred onto the new TCM, its about a $1000 repair job

Awesome…good to know there’s hope! I went to the dealership and all they said was selection range sensor for 2900 and some sort of module in the transmission fluid pan. Is there even a module in there?
Anywho, is the TCM located in the shifter in the cabin?
If you did this repair yourself, do you mind filling me in on how to go about it?

Thank you for responding

2013 c250. Codes p0705 and P0606

Wanted to shake this in case it helps anyone. Had these 2 codes popping up on a used Mercedes I had purchased. Car seemed to drive normal with no issues but baking check engine light come on is always concerning. Read multiple posts online with all sorts of possible solutions. Being that the transmission was involved, I had already bought what I needed to replace Trans fluid and filter so figured I would go ahead and do that before looking into next steps. The fluid was filthy so glad I did this service. Well it’s been over 2 weeks and the codes are gone and have not returned. It appears the filter and fluid were just so filthy that it was sending codes. Hopefully this helps someone.
