Mixed Tyre Problem
Hi,
I have a quick question. quick but very important. my W204 came with mixed tires. Front 225/40ZR18 92Y XL. Rear 255/35ZR18 94Y XL. At present, I'm facing an availability issue. I found this NANKANG NS-25 all-season UHP tire but rear size is only available in 255/45R18. If I fit this tire, do you guys think an ESP issue will not arise? I usually get ESP warning very easily even on concrete if one rear tire looses it's grip. ESP warning itself is not the problem. With it, steering stiffness occurs.
My STAR service adviser says it won't be a problem. But another expert attached to MB Training Center says due to the increase of the wheel height, ESP problem might arise.
Your expert opinion is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Not worth the risk install what it was designed for, worst case is problem may not show straight away and when it does tyre shop won’t want to know about money back.
I have Pirelli Front and ran in to availability problems so installed Michelin on the rear and stuck with factory sizes.
