Good day everyone here, am really having a tough week here. By Mercedes c180 radiator fan is too loud and does not go off even when the engine is off. Coupled with the the AC. has also stopped working as well. I tried to change the fan, quite pricy here in South Africa but all in vein.

Could someone please save me from this nightmare, am so so frustrated.

please help me out with any ideas.

Does the AC light blink and then just turns off? If so, it probably is the A/C pressure switch.

Had this problem on mine, however my fan was not spinning at all since the A/C was not working.

When I bought a new one, aircon started working but then the fan didn't stop spinning which turned out to be another defective switch.

But hey, third time's a charm and it works flawlessly now - the switch is about 20 EUR and if you had the machine to pull the gas out of the system you could do it yourself. I don't recommend opening it if you don't since the gas is going to start leaking. The switch is located below, under the front cover.

Hi thanks for the reply, however my be this could help since my AC is completely off with no light at all. I will try to sort out the AC issue on Monday and see what happens, you never know this my be my lucky moment.
