Hi, I am thinking of getting a cargo / roof box for my C300 2010 for family ski trips (we are taking lessons so this will be a weekly thing over the season). I need to get a longer box to accommodate skiis (perhaps 84" to 88" long Thule box). When attached to the OEM roof rack, the box would clearly hang beyond the car roof (both in the front and back).

I was wondering if anyone has used a long cargo roof box and how their experience was. I haven't seen any w204's with cargo / roof boxes on them. Thanks.

 

On a related note, does anyone know if the OEM roof boxes are a standard Thule model rebranded? I know some other car manufacturers appear to do this but I can't seem to find a Thule model that looks similar.
