2013 W204 Remote Start Stopped Working
I'm hoping that someone could help with this. I bought a used 2013 Mercedes C300 4Matic a couple of years ago (I bought it used from a Toyota dealership). It did not have remote start on the Carfax, vehicle info, and was not conveyed to me as a selling point when purchasing, however, when I pressed the lock button 3 times quickly, the car would start after a few seconds. I did not use it for a couple of months and tried to and it doesn't work. I've read that sometimes a car can be put into valet or work mode (or something similar) when work is being done on the car. I have had my oil changed in the past couple of months, but I am not able to find any sort of "valet mode" button. I'm trying to confirm what kind of remote start is in the car, or where it is located so that I can troubleshoot why it doesn't work. I only have the normal key fob that was given by the dealership, so there isn't an additional remote start fob. I've replaced the batteries in both key fobs. The car locks/unlocks just fine. It starts without a problem using the key as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
