control arm questions

hi all...first post and couldn’t really find info on the board so hopefully someone has some insight.

got a 2008 c300. got in a fender bender/side swipe 🙁 and my front passenger control arm (i believe the torque strut?) ball joint link broke off. while inspecting it just decided to do a complete reinstall on this side since the axle boot ripped and the outer tie rod was bent. (technically my fault since i slid on ice and i’ll fix myself)

noticing the control arm bushings are a bit different as well as the suspension bolts i bought. can anyone chime in on if using the new ones are okay or if i need to find oem...thanks

also having a hell of a time getting the control arm back in the subframe sleeve area. any tips on that?

Unfortunately such an impact probably bent in your subframe. The control should just slide in without any resistance. With the way that bolts looks the impact must've been quite hard.

I have replaced those bushes and I did both at the same time, from memory the new genuine bushes were superseded P/N and round holes as opposed to the oval original design. No problem putting mine back in just slip the main bolt back in it all lined up nicely.

If you have new arm and connected up the ball joint first then if the bush bolt hole does not align then you have other issues.
