Internal spring compressor rear w204

I've been looking for internal plate style spring compressors for the rear of my 2013 C300 4matic Sport. I tried every other available type and they just don't work. Nobody has them for the loan a tool program at the local parts stores. I've found few results online and the ones I do find don't seem compatible based on the products descriptions not listing my chassis code. EPC has the part listed as a 120mm plate (could just be a generic-to-MB part) so I'm really unsure. I don't know if I even need a spring compressor to remove it by way of the lower control arm removal aided with a hydraulic jack. But I'm pretty sure I'll need it to reinstall. Anybody got some info? I appreciate it.

It can be done without the tool with the help of a jack to push the control arm back in. I have the tool and is not as easy.

There is a great write up here but all the photos have been corrupted or removed.

As I see it, I can get the spring out by compressing it via lifting the control arm close to the hub with a jack, removing the damper bolt and outward most control arm bolt and loosening the inner most control arm nut so it can pivot freely, then slowly lowering the jack. Correct? Will the spring be fully decompressed or will it still pop once the jack is fully lowered? And to reinstall, just position the spring in it's seats and raise it back up?
