2010 Mercedes c300 rear lines won’t bleed
Hello! I had a broken brake hose that I had replaced going to the rear passenger side. I had replaced the entire line. At the same time I had changed my
brakes and rotors. When I try to bleed my brakes the front brakes bleed just fine. The piston won’t engage and the rear lines will bleed air and brake fluid. I have tried the 2 person method to bleed the brakes with one person holding the brake pedal and also tried a vacuum pump as well.
I had changed the master brake cylinder as well, but am now very confused as to why the brake lines in the rear won’t bleed. Any help is appreciated

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder before installing it? Should have been a couple of tubes that came with it. The would be attached to the distribution ports on bottom side, then routed into to the master cylinder reservoir itself. You secure the master in a vise (or whatever), then cycle the piston several times until all air stops appearing in the reservoir.

Yes I did do the bench bleeding with the master reservoir. This is why I’m confused. I’ve read it could be that I need to pressure bleed. It could be that my anti lock brake control unit is bad after the brake line blew. It also could be because of the star system needing to be reset. I’m not sure which one it could be or if it is something else.

MB service procedure calls for pressure bleeding. Not gravity or vacuum.
