"Check Washer Fluid" On Despite Topping Off Reservoir, Can I Drain It?
Hello Everyone!
Minor issue here, but I want to avoid taking my car to the dealer for it. The "Check Washer Fluid" indicator is now appearing on my dash, and despite adding new fluid and topping off the reservoir, it is still present.
I did add the Rain-X to the existing fluid that was there, was about 1/2 way full, which is why I dont understand why the light came on in the first place, to me it sounds like the sensor is bad, anyway I did top it off and the warning light is still there.
So, before ruling out the sensor, is there a way to safely drain the washer fluid reservoir without having to lift the car or take it to the dealer? I couldn't find any threads on here that shows how. I wanted drain the existing fluid thats there and replace it with the OEM SummerFit coolant mix to see if that will turn off the message and to rule out the fluid or the sensor.
Any Thoughts?

Maybe try a small drill pump, there about $25 on amazon and then a few feet of clear hose, pump out the old fluid from the filler cap
I've read on other forums that Rain X and some other brands don't seem to be compatible with Mercedes and will throw the check washer fluid.
Buy some of the cheap no name brand blue washer fluid ($2-3) stuff and see if that resolves it.

Yeah I should know better haha. How soon should the "Check Washer Fluid" indicator come on though? The reason I ask is because the reservoir was about half way full when I topped it off with the Rain X. Ia it a bad sensor?
