I had my front struts replaced few months ago and I just noticed one of the strut is missing it's boot (as shown on the picture-that is not my strut. Just grabbed it from the internet. The car already drove through lots of rain so I am just wondering how much extra wear did I subjected the struts because of this. I am going to give the shop hell tomorrow and was thinking if I will ask for a new strut because of this mishap.What do you guys think?

 

Many cars don't have those at all. The strut will be perfectly fine.
