Screen Issues - black screen audio works
I have a 2014 C300 W204 and my screen has been going black, but coming back at times. The screen goes and comes back when I hit bumps or potholes and the audio will work the entire time. I am inclined to think that it is just a loose connection, but the other symptoms are that when the screen is on, it will temporarily turn off as I press the horn, and when the screen is off, the turn knob by the shifter does not work. Is anyone familiar with the wiring to know why my horn would turn my screen off or why the knob will not skip songs when the screen is off (I can still press the next button on the radio unit to skip)?
I have an aftermarket backup camera installed, and that is always working even if the screen was black. It could be the aftermarket video converter, but the horn turning it off confuses me.
If anyone is familiar with wiring or fixed a similar issue let me know!
